Interact with dolphins

Cheeky, curious and highly intelligent, dolphins have a lot in common with us. You can spot them frolicking in the water from the comfort of the beach or the marina, or jump aboard a boat tour. Mandurah’s Crab Fest attracts more than 100,000 people each year. Serpentine Falls day trip

Millions of litres of water plummeting over the 15-metre waterfall’s red granite rock face into the cool green waters below…what a picturesque spot for a swim. You’ll likely get a visit from friendly local kangaroos, plus you might catch a glimpse of echidnas and wallabies, too.

Yalgorup National Park

A beautiful park boasting tuart forests, peppermint woodlands and a collection of long, slender lakes, what makes the area extra-special is the coastal thrombolites. While these rocks seem rather ordinary at first, their history is extraordinary. These are actually living fossils dating back 570 million years.

Peel Zoo

Get up close and personal with some of Australia’s most famous wildlife: kangaroos, koalas, wombats, dingoes – even Tasmanian devils. Peel Zoo is a privately-funded boutique zoo and wildlife sanctuary that encourages sensible and safe interaction between guests and wildlife. It’s a huge hit with the kids.

The Hotham Valley Tourist Railway

There are several ride options available, including a night-time restaurant train. This is a five-course dining experience with a difference. Enjoy a hearty traditional roast dinner and hot apple pie aboard a 1919 vintage dining car or an 1884 club car.

Amaze Miniature Park

If you love beautiful gardens but you also like your tourist attractions a little on the whacky side, visit Amaze Miniature Park.
